When to nail correction: A guide to maintaining nail health

What is Nail Correction?

Nail correction involves transforming old nails into new ones by removing part of the old material and preparing for the application of a new layer of the material you choose.

What is Not Considered Correction?

Nail correction does not apply when you come outside of the time frame, or if you haven’t respected your scheduled time. It’s also not when you arrive with 4-5 fewer nails.
Just to avoid confusion, even if all nails are present, that doesn’t necessarily mean everything is fine.
Nails lose their shape and strength after five weeks.

When is the Right Time for Correction?

The right time for correction is somewhat individual. Everyone has different preferences regarding this.
But what is most important here is that the correction should be done in the fourth week at the latest when it comes to gel, at the latest in the third week when it comes to gel polish.
Of course, some women prefer to have their nails done more frequently because they don’t like the colour “regrowth,” so they do corrections more often.

Who is it For?

It’s for all women and girls who want to regularly have beautiful and tidy nails. Nails are indeed a luxury that not every woman has to or should afford.
If you don’t have the money to keep up with them, or if you’re not responsible enough to take regular care of them, then nails just aren’t for you.

Why is it Important to Do it on Time?

Delaying nail correction can cause your nail to suffer pressure and potentially lead to permanent damage.
You may also risk a bacterial infection, which can occur if air and dirt get trapped between the nail and the gel. This creates a moist environment where mould can start to form on the nail due to frequent hand washing!
So, who’s to blame for this problem? Of course, it’s the manicurist, not you, right? Just kidding.
But seriously, if we ignore your lack of responsibility, there’s another issue. Manicurists may not want to work on your nails anymore. Correction should be a simple process. Delaying your appointment for whatever reason makes things more complicated for you, your nails, and your manicurist.
Respect yourself, and then others too!
